Over three centuries ago, the immortal Emperor Ravana, founder of the Cygnus Imperium, abdicated the throne, leaving its hundred-star systems in disarray.
To assert dominance, Ravana’s successors turned to civil war in futile attempt to unite the fractured Imperium. Today, many former Cygnus systems have created their own governments and turn away Imperial Protector patrol ships.
Following a diplomatic mission securing a trade alliance amongst local independent systems, a lone ship from Tezzos falls afoul of an imperial patrol in the domain of the iron-fisted Duke Argent.
Captain Thorn Erikssen and his crew now find themselves face-to-face with the very forces who once conquered their home planet and are confronted with the fatal consequences of the choice to flee...or to defend their freedom with their lives.
