With our combined knowledge and experience, we strive to offer the highest quality service in the current indie comic book business.

What file format do you accept for printing?
Our preferred format is PDF, but we also accept JPG, TIF, and PNG.

How do I submit my files?
You may email the file directly to us, or upload it to cloud and share it with us. We use Google Drive, WeTransfer, and DropBox.
These are all free to use and make the exchange of files much easier for everyone.

What is the $60 setup fee for?
The setup fee is for preparing your project so that it is ready for print and to cover small costs that incur during that process.

I want to print a comic. What do I do?
In order to print your comic, we will need your files, set up with crop marks and bleed.

What is the minimum number of comics that I have to order?
The short answer? Only 1. However, your price per book will be exponentially lower the more copies you print.

How many pages does my comic need to have?
The minimum number of pages for a comic book is 4. From there, your comic must have:

  • pages in multiples of 4

  • front cover

  • back cover

  • inner front cover

  • inner back cover

Can you print graphic novels/trade books?
Of course! We print and put together perfect bound books up to 500 pages.

What kind of paper do you use when you publish comic books?
We use a standard combination of gloss cover with uncoated paper inside; the same as current mainstream publishers.
If you do not wish for this kind of combination, we have access to a paper mill which can supply us with 500+ different kinds of paper suitable for your comic.

How do I publish my comic book?
There are many ways that StudioComix Press can help you to publish your ideas. From art books to full oversized graphic novels, StudioComix Press representatives will guide you. Contact us today!

Do you print novels?
We do! We can print novels up to 500 pages long, plus the cover.

Can I sell my books at your store or on your website?
We will be glad to have your comic displayed on our website and at our store. Please note that books that we carry are purchased outright at a wholesale price. If you are ready to send us your books, please contact us. Once we receive your books and send you your payment, we will sell it both at our storefront and on our website at no additional charge.

What is your general turnaround time?
The answer to this depends on how many books or items you order. However, we may take less time or more time depending on the complexity of the project. For example, an order of 500 business cards will have a quicker turnaround than 500 books. We start production after your approval of the sample we produce.

I am looking for a specific service not listed on the website. What else do you do?

What happens after my order is completed?
We would be more than happy to see you at our storefront in Kitchener where you can pick up your order to dodge the shipping costs.

If you live too far away from the office, we will ship your project to you exclusively by Canada Post and give you the lowest possible shipping rate. All our shipments to Canada will include a tracking number, and tracking to international locations can include tracking if requested.

Do you offer bulk discounts?

Yes! The more you order, the higher the discount.

Do you offer cross promotions?
We have worked with hundreds of creators to help them put together their books. We handle this on a case by case basis. Please note that there are many factors to consider before we can accept your proposal.
